The June 2017 Employees of the Month for Dennis Township School District: Maintenance technician Russ Hickman and physical education teacher Lance Hammell.
A recent addition to the Dennis Township School District staff, Hickman has proved an invaluable member of the maintenance staf. Principal Jamie VanArtsdalen notes that she counts on Hickman on a daily basis for his ability to get important tasks done to keep the school up and running. Hammell has taught in Dennis Township for the last 27 years and is a fixture in the school, but retires at the end of the school year. VanArtsdalen refers to him as her unofficial mentor as he has been one of her most dependable sounding boards this year. The students and staff will sorely miss Hammell as he goes on to a challenging post-teaching career of coaching golf.

Employees of the Month receive a certificate, use of a designated parking spot for the month and the acclaim of their administrator and colleagues.
