Dennis Township 5th grade students recently enjoyed a field trip to Philadelphia to see the Constitution Center and other historic sites.
Teachers and parents chaperoned small groups of students around downtown Philadelphia.
"As a continuation of the social studies curriculum, the experience helped students understand the thirteen colonies, colonial Philadelphia, the Revolutionary War, the Constitution and much more," explains 5th grade teacher Jeanette Riggitano.
Jen Peabody, another 5th grade teacher, agrees, stating, "Our students had fun and connected to what we learned in class, so it was a great trip."
